What is included and what is not
- Your Buddy's time and company for the booked hours, paid in cash after the experience
- Translation, price advice and bargaining help at every stall
- Help checking sizes, materials and what a fair local price looks like
- Anything you buy, paid by you directly to the stallholder in cash
- Taxi or Grab between markets and home
- Shipping, customs or any charge for taking purchases home
Safety, helmet and clothing
- No scooter is involved. Markets are explored on foot, with a Grab ride between them if you visit more than one.
- Light, comfortable clothes and closed shoes, as market floors can be wet. A small bag you can keep in front of you.
- Covered markets stay open in the rain. Outdoor stalls may close, so your Buddy may switch to an indoor market on the day.
Your responsibilities
- Keep valuables secure and in front of you in busy aisles
- Decide your own budget and your own purchases; your Buddy advises and never buys for you
- Pay the stallholder directly, in cash, once you have agreed a price
- Stay with your Buddy in the public parts of the market
